Amsterdam-based curator Amal Alhaag, tutor at finished Temporary Programme Radical Cut-Up (2017-2019) programmed ECHOING EACH OTHER, Archive Acts' last official film screening of 2020, programmed by Amsterdam-based curator Amal Alhaag. Amal Alhaag's film program and panel will be an in-depth conversation highlighting films and conversation on Black (intergenerational) life in Europe.
In Amal's own words:
Echoing Each OtherHow do we hold each other? How do we remember each other into the future? How do we show-up for each other when the stage lights are off?
Echoing Each Other is an online gathering, a virtual living room that brings together three artists + curators whose work and thought draw from everyday intergenerational Black social life, love and communities. The films and panel conversation interweave oral stories, anecdotes, archives and cinematic references that shape Black (feminist)life, Black diasporic communities, practices and activism across borders, beyond marginalization and violence in Europe.
