Handrail for Amsterdam's canals

This handrail is the materialisation of my research on the phenomenon of the frozen canals in Amsterdam. It is a tangible object that represent intangible questions. It works as an urban furniture piece and a tool for awareness and conversation, used as a reminder, memorial, a conversation piece about climate change and pollution, and who knows someday in the future as something that can be actually used to go on the ice or in the water.
