Thrilled to See You

Video „Thrilled to See You” is based on Michael Jackson’s „Thriller” music video, featuring one of the most imitated choreographies of all time. In the video this choreography is performed by computer-generated characters, dancing on a stage decorated by their own flesh - the flattened textures of their skin. Just as in the song, the dancers are zombies, mere bodies without souls. Yet through the imitation of the existing choreography, the video is haunted by corporeal presence of the real performers, as well as the hand of the animator. The movements’ corporeality is enhanced by the choreographer’s rhythmic directions. Just as in the original, Vincent Price narrates the video, through the mouth of the artist, allowing the expression of language to become another choreography.
