A smoker's theatre

In collaboration with Jesse Strikwerda, we worked on this film in the beginning of 2021 during a residency at Kunsthuis SYB, based on the Frisian tradition of Iepenloftspullen (open air plays), questions surrounding the identity of the artist, and Bertold Brecht’s ideas about The Smoker’s Theatre. This resulted in a 27 minute video, in which a bard guides the audience through memories of stories, acted out by ourselves and visitors during the residency.
