Installation 2022 Introducing sculptures and symbols that explore the body-territory, body-land, clay-body relations, I strive for a storytelling experiment by evoking fleshy intimate sensations in the participants. In this installation, My corazonares/heartenings about clay are translated into physical objects, site-specific clay paintings, and sounds made by Chilean artist Moné. Furthermore, they are offered to the participant’s intervention and touch to be retold and reappropriated. After the intervention, the sculptures were recycled inside a glass fish tank, transmutated through water, and registered in video. 2023 Landing Exhibited in "In the process of Making" at the Treehouse NDSM During this 5 week's exhibition, I offered two clay and somatic workshops where I proposed people to follow up on the sculpting process I went through for the first installation. "Sculpting a body story with clay: a process inspired by the Embodied Social Justice research by Rae Johnston, and The Politics of Trauma by Staci Haines. Through somatic grounding, touch, and geological stories of the formation of clay, we will create the space to attune with this material and to our bodies. We will track an emotion, sensation or situation that we would like to re-shape through an organ-sculpting exercise. After sculpting, we will let the piece dry completely and, if we decide so, meet again to release that which the clay has received from us in the process. This workshop will include breathing exercises and soft somatic-body work and attempts to be a space for sharing sensations and body stories".
