The session will explore how artists and cultural practitioners position themselves and their work, build visibility, and navigate professional networks—while also questioning and unpacking the complications that come with the term “exposure.”

The event is hosted by Elif Satanaya Özbay (artist, coordinator at Sandberg, and alum of Shadow Channel, 2019), together with Ana María Gómez López, Margarita Osipian, Diego Diez and Sondi.

Who:

Elif Satanaya Özbay — alum Sandberg Instituut (Shadow Channel, 2019), coordinator at Sandberg, artist.

Ana María Gómez López — teacher at SIS, Sandberg Instituut, interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator.

Margarita Osipian — independent curator, researcher, and cultural producer; part of the artistic team at W139 and programmer and researcher for The Hmm.

Diego Diez — alum Rietveld Academie (Fine Arts, 2019), artist and curator. Founder of diez gallery in Amsterdam.

Sondi – alum Sandberg Instituut (Blacker Blackness, 2023), artist and researcher.

The session will be held in English at the Theory stairs in the FedLev building. The space is accessible for wheelchair users. It will not be live-streamed, but a recording will be shared afterwards on the website.
