Biography

Pau(la) is a performance artist and queer migrant grassroots organiser based in Amsterdam. She has a background in dance, theatre, circus, feminist politics, choreography, activism and now works across these fields. Her artistic research investigates social phenomena in a journalistic way – censorship and resistance, gender issues, art in a neoliberal-capitalist context – and transforms her findings into theatrical performances.
