Biography

Eva van Kempen (Netherlands, 1976) is a goldsmith, jewellery designer whose work exposes the beauty, potential and value of medical materials. She invites us to look with new eyes and to find comfort in beauty, in stead of the expected fear that surrounds medical objects. Creating collections of jewellery in which every piece tells a story of its’ own while simultaneously telling a story together, van Kempen investigates societal, political and medical areas of the current zeitgeist and its relation to the inside and outside of the human body.
