GUESS was established in 1981 by the Marciano brothers, who left the south of France in pursuit of the American dream. Inspired by their European influence, the Marciano's redefined denim and GUESS became a symbol of a young, sexy and adventurous lifestyle. Throughout the decades GUESS has invited people to dream with its iconic and timeless advertising campaigns and has turned unknown faces into famous models. Today GUESS is a global lifestyle brand with a full range of apparel and accessories in over 80 countries. And, remaining true to its heritage, continues to be guided by two of the Marciano brothers GUESS requested me to design bags for the West European market. We had a click from the start. Their elegant and masculine aesthetics appealed to me immediately. I’m responsible from the beginning of the idea to the shop floor. I design, develop and produce, so I can keep a close eye on the entire process. I work together with the shoe and accessories department. We sample ideas for fabrics and trimmings and fantasize about exciting crossovers. Then I go home, draw our dreams and contact factories to produce. All factories are audited by GUESS.
