illogicality of the (necro)border

My presented installation drew from Deleuze's notion of diagrammatic thought in order to question (pre)conceived notions of border as a concept, and as a lived experience. Situating the installation itself on the premises of one of the last bi-communal cafes (Haratsi in Nicosia, Cyprus), and by drawing from personal experiences with the arbitrary 'Green Line' in Nicosia, the activity / installation was an opportunity to question our loyalty to the border. At its core, the intended effect of the installation was to propose a critical question: how does bordering, as a concept, encroach into the interpersonal? A poetry reading of works by Dionne Brande and Gervaise Alexis Savvias complimented the installation. *documentation by Leda Agiomamiti.
