Mabillon
Commissioned by the town of Monthey (CH), with the aim of informing local residents about the construction of the new school complex in the city center. This urban design project is imagined to dress up the work site. The idea is to intervene on the fences surrounding the construction site to inform the population. It aims to create a playful interaction between the kids and the construction of their new school. As a part of the site is adjacent to the school playground, the floor is integrated to the project. This leads to the creation of a game between the visuals, the fences and the courtyard, genuine playground for the children. The patterns on the floor are based on those on the fence and have been adapted to resemble games such as hopscotch or marbles. The two areas work together to create an informative space that immerses the visitor in an illustrated world.
