Biography

Cassandre Tornay (she/her, 2000, Switzerland-VS) is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator working in the fields of edition and design. Currently studying in Sandberg Instituut Design Department, she graduated in 2023 from HEAD Geneva with a Bachelor in visual communication and in 2021 from ESBDI Geneva's comic and illustration school. She’s now working on a number of exciting moving collaborations, in Europe, between the Netherlands and Switzerland. Her work was exhibited in different galleries and venues among which the Swiss Design Awards 2024 in Art Basel (CH), 'Crash Landing' exhibition at Dutch Design Week 2024 (NL), Villa Bernasconi (CH), Salon Veneman (NL), Gallerie La primaire (CH) or La Fabriek (CH). In 2023 she was nominated for the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation Prix d’Excellence. She received the 'Prix Töpffer jeune bande dessinée' in 2021 and was nominated in 2022 for the 'Best first comic piece' at the Festival Delemont BD.
