Biography

Asya Sukhorukova is a multidisciplinary artist/designer/developer based in The Hague, NL. She studied visual communication in British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow and received her bachelor degree in graphic design at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague in 2018. After graduating from KABK, she co-found Studio Pointer* alongside media artist Jakob Schlötter. Studio Pointer* is an interactive media and design laboratory and an artist duo. Together, Asya and Jakob search for undiscovered treasures across the ever-changing media landscape, creating speculative software and hardware and seeking poetic interpretations of the mundane. Since the beginning of their collaborative practice in 2018, their autonomous and commissioned work has been exhibited at Venice Architecture Biennale, Floriade Festival, Site Gallery in Sheffield, Science Gallery in Melbourne, Cinekid Festival, Collective Gallery in Edinburgh, Lithuanian National Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai and others.
