Cure Master

On the Cure Master course, the function and definition of sickness and health in society are being researched from the perspective of art and design. Artistic research can contribute to new ways of understanding our bodies, minds and environments. A group of autonomous thinkers, designers and artists are working, with individual and collective projects. After the graduation, students are invited to work towards Cure Park 2017. This event will focus on experience, participation and sharing and there will be presentations of projects, tools, methods and ideas to the public.

‘During my illness I experienced first-hand how artificially we deal with our health. We treat disease with a brutality that is discordant with who we are as living beings. (...) I continue to devote my attention and energy to fighting the disease, but I'm actually fighting myself. I believe that relaxation is intrinsic to healing, and I believe that art can contribute to this.’
